Batch Released - 480 bottles only

Once a year we put aside a single barrel of our best barrel strength Canefire.

Instead of cutting it down with water, as we do for our other Rums, we use a carefully selected blend of Port from the lush surrounds of the Swan Valley, Western Australia.

Small Batch, as the name suggests, is a limited batch of only 480 bottles per batch.

Each batch is blended down to a flat 40% ACL with a different combination of fortified to ensure each batch is truly unique.

Batch #16 Notes: 3 YR Rum, 10 YR Pedro Ximenez, 8 YR White Port.

Small Batch #16 is blended from 3 year barrel-aged Rum with a 10 year old Pedro Ximenez and an 8 year old White Port. We finished it in two hand-selected French oak barrels, one freshly shaved and toasted, the other seasoned with Margaret River Shiraz. This Small Batch stands on the shoulders of our award-winning aged rum selection.

Blushing burnt caramel and sepia tones. Legs like maps; a river runs through it. A subtle bouquet, having been pulled from the camp fire. Ash & flint. Tinder & spark. An oozing creme caramel eases past the lips in quiet repose. Crackling embers build on the tongue and ignite the senses with fierce controlled fire. Not to be forgotten this gentle yet voracious spirit finishes with a golden sourness, reminiscent of pitted fruit. Small Batch #16 awakens when coupled with rich, dark chocolate.
